Scaffolding Towers of America (STA) is a woman-owned, family operated scaffolding company based in Hillsborough, NJ. The Company specializes in providing specialty scaffolding products, such as camera towers built with system scaffolding, while also servicing the local/regional construction market with top-of-the-line, American-Made Bil-Jax frame scaffolding products.

STA boasts the largest inventory of in-stock scaffold products in New Jersey. Customers come from all over the state and are thrilled to see the amount of equipment available for immediate pickup, unlike big-box stores who stock minimal product, or online competitors that have long shipping leads. The warehouse is bursting with various sizes of frames, braces, guard rails, casters, outriggers, leveling jacks, wood planks, aluminum platforms and more. Other in-stock products include Werner ladders, pump jacks and picks, all in a variety of sizes.

Another differentiator for STA is the fact that the Company is one of the only in the area that will rent scaffolding without providing installation services. STA has been installing camera towers for PGA Tour golf events across the country for one of the leading sports broadcasting networks for over three decades. The owner, Fran Kruchkowski, has been in the scaffolding business since she was 8 years old, when she worked sweeping floors at her grandfather’s painting business. Over time, as more and more scaffolding was being used by the painting crews, the company expanded, offering scaffolding and contractors equipment in a retail setting. In fact, Fran’s grandfather was one of the first people to bring Bil-Jax frame scaffolding into New Jersey from Archbold, OH. They began selling, renting and installing scaffolding which would set the foundation for the Company that Fran leads today.

What began as a modest retail and painting company has evolved into a truly unique business, catering to two very distinct markets. STA is proud to maintain its family roots, as Fran’s son, Jeffrey, has been with the business for over 30 years, managing the operations for the sports and entertainment division. Backed by the kind of trust and shared goals that only a family operated business can offer, Fran and Jeff have assembled a team of managers, foremen and scaffold installers that are often referred to as “the best in the business.” With a combined 75+ years of experience, and a longstanding history of being trusted at some of the most recognizable sporting events in the country, it is easy to see how STA has earned this reputation for being one of the safest, most knowledgeable and most reliable companies in the scaffold industry.
